Trace app updates: Privacy risk intelligence
Proactive data risk management
Helping our clients comply with Data Protection regulations, and protect, process and safely share the data that matters is core to our ethos at Trace. Our Software as a Service (SaaS) app helps organisations build a culture of Privacy by Design with a proactive approach to compliance and privacy data risk management; this was front of mind when working on the latest Trace platform features.
So what’s in our latest release?
Our team of talented developers have been busy building new features requested by our app users or in response to industry best practice. Ready for a new year, our latest updates include:
Greater flexibility and deeper risk management capability from Trace’s smart Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) - introducing ‘flip your risk’
New interactive Risk Register area: manage, visualise, print and organise your compliance risks
Business area flexibility: to help users edit, add to and sort categories by business area when mapping their data in Trace.
New area: Interactive, visual Data Risk Register
At Trace we believe proactive risk management is foundational to good data compliance. We have added a whole new Risk Register (RR) area to our app which helps our users deepen their privacy risk capability. This means users can:
Visualise compliance, privacy and project risks. This visual risk report can be used to drive action with Trace users’ business stakeholders, helping an organisation focus on mitigating the most pressing risks
Seamlessly move between DPIAs and RR: for active and intelligent residual risk management
Sort, search for and actively manage live data protection risks.
Smart DPIA: deeper risk management capability
Our Document Manager area offers our users rich capability: from smart Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) which can be shared and e-signed, to Processor Assessments and more.
Introducing ‘Flip your risks’! Trace’s unique function
Our smart DPIA builder is invaluable for users looking to stay on top of privacy risk assessments at the start of relevant projects.
And we have now made it even easier for users to manage multiple risks from the DPIA allowing them to ‘flip’ risks between the DPIA and Risk Register. A user can simply select risks from the relevant DPIA and flip them into the Risk Register to easily stay on top of residual data risk.
Business area flexibility
Responding to current clients’ requests, we have made customising business areas intuitive and easy. Now users can edit or add new areas to suit their organisation easily.
